NOTE:  These safety sensors are compatible with all Genie door openers, EXCEPT those that used a 3-pin plug connector at the motor head and internal wiring at the sensors (sensors had to be taken apart to connect wiring), and model 2040L.  For model 2040L use the 36046R sensors. Door Operator will NOT close door without the Safe-T-Beam System installed!!

Garage door opener Safe-T-Beams out of alignment, wires broken or blocked lens. To function properly the safe-t-beams must be located near the floor where sometimes they might be kicked, hit by garbage can or bicycles, or otherwise be knocked out of alignment or have broken wires.  They can also have their lenses blocked by spider webs, cocoons, grass clippings or moisture spots from rain.  To function properly the garage door opener safe-t-beams must be pointed directly at each other and be able to "see" each other.  If the door operator safe-t-beams are knocked out of alignment, wires broken, beam blocked; it will cause the garage door not to close.  You should check to make sure your garage door opener has power, the alignment of the door operator safe-t-beams, check all wiring and clean the lenses.  There must be a full steady light to be properly aligned.
