CATEGORY 2.  Replacement Remote Control Transmitters (390MHz frequency) for all Genie Intellicode and Overhead Door CodeDodger garage door opener brands and models manufactured in or after 1998 ONLY.  Date code is found on a small white sticker on the main power head of the garage door opener.

CATEGORY 3.  Replacement Remote Control Transmitters (390MHz frequency ONLY) for all Genie garage door opener brands and models made prior to 1995 that have either a 9 or 12 dip switch (small block of tiny switches or punch out wires) coding format.  The dip switch format is found inside your existing remotes battery compartment or inside your “receiver”.  The receiver is either attached separately to the main power head of your garage door opener or is built into the main power head.  The receiver has a short antenna wire hanging from it.  All Genie 12 switch coding formats may use any of the remotes in this category.  All Genie 9 switch formats use a receiver that was attached separately from the main power head and MUST be in the 390 MHz frequency (frequency number is found on the end cap of the receiver box).  All other frequencies (290, 295, 300, etc..) made by Genie are obsolete. Please contact us if you need help matching the correct replacement remote control.

Category 3 replacement remote control transmitters are compatible with Genie garage door opener models that use the 9 or 12 dip switch coding format and operate in the 390MHz frequency ONLY.

MAT90 includes battery (12 volt), key ring, and instructions.

CATEGORY 4.  Genie garage door opener Dual Frequency (390/315 MHz) replacement remote controls.  For a brief period of time Genie manufactured some models of garage door openers that used a dual frequency receiver and remote.  That was approximately between the Fall of 2005 and the Spring of 2007.  Those models of garage door openers are no longer in production.  Below are the replacement dual frequency remote controls. Genie does currently offer a dual frequency Radio Receiver Kit - GIRUDT-1.  It includes a dual frequency remote and is used to update or replace receivers on any brand or model of garage door opener.  Click here for more information on the GIRUD Receiver Kits.

Category 4 replacement dual frequency remotes controls are compatible with any Genie Intellicode or Overhead Door garage door opener brands and models that were made in or after 1998, and are operated in the 390MHz format.  Or, as a replacement for those that are using the 315MHz frequency.

GICTD-1 and GICTD-3 include battery (CR2032), visor clip (108389), docking station (35612A), and instructions.  These remotes are also key ring compatible.  No key chain included.

GIFTD-1 includes battery (AAA), key ring, and instructions.

Homelink compatible.

Compatible Keyless Entry – GWKIC.  Only in the 390MHz format.  Genie currently does not offer a keyless entry for the 315MHz format.

Compatible Garage Door Opener Keyless Entry is not yet available.
